BEAUTY FROM ASHES

I started taking walks in my neighborhood so as to keep fit during this compulsory holiday, and as I walked passed a particular area, I saw they did some bush burning, if you remember your agricultural science in school, bush burning is a way to start over. I didn’t see anything starting over just destruction to be honest, but some plants started to grow back, normal green leaves, no big deal right? Wrong!! I’ll explain. As I walked passed a day after I saw a beautiful flower bloom, it was the only one that has come out I was amazed because it didn’t seem like a flower that will bloom in that area and I passed here a day before so where were you ? I quickly took a picture of the beautiful flower.

I want us to take a lesson from this scenario

Now you see how I said no big deal for those green leaves , take that as the  things God does for us we do not thank him for , the fact we are alive , we wake up every morning , we can smile, we can breathe , we can dance, walk and so many other things that we see as “small”. We need to appreciate God for those so called “small “things. These things we regard as small if something goes wrong with them. We will understand their value; take for example a tooth ache, or even an earache. You don’t want to feel that pain!!  I had an earache at the beginning of the year and I couldn’t stand properly I was destabilized. I did not understand the value of hearing and ease in hearing till I had a slight problem with one ear. Have you ever struggled to open your eyes in the morning? I have.  If you have, you will understand the value of opening your eyes every morning with ease. I can go on and on with things we take for granted but I want us to understand that a lot of chaos is going on now, we are waiting for the flower to bloom but we are taking for granted the little grasses that are growing within the destruction.

Those green leaves are beautiful, because without them the flowers cannot grow. Let us appreciate God for those things we see as small, and watch our flowers bloom like never before.

Right now you may be like me and not see anything starting over or looking beautiful amidst this destruction. You may just see destruction. Today GOD used this flower to assure me that all this chaos will be over, out of an ugly situation comes something very beautiful just like the flower rising in the midst of the burnt bush. He also told me to tell you that no matter what you are going through right now you will rise above it like that flower, he said amidst that ugly situation something very beautiful is going to come out of it. Have faith!! As Christians we walk by faith not by sight. (2 Cor 5:7).
