KEY THINGS I RECEIVED FROM PASSION OF CHRIST

I hope it’s not too late to say Happy Easter!

I have watched Passion of the Christ so much, I have cried every time, but this time I cried just a little and I picked up some significant things I learnt from it . Every time I’ve watched it I have understood Yes! Jesus came to die for our sins, today I am going to share other key things I learnt from this beautiful movie 

1.       The “DUMFOUNDED” Soldier - Do you remember the soldier peter cut off his ear, even after he cut it off Jesus picked up that ear and fixed it back and that soldier believed in Christ immediately, he was just on his knees touching his ear . At that point I will say he was dazed and he must have regret coming to arrest him in the first place , in fact another soldier was calling him, saying ‘we got him, we got him lets go’ he couldn’t stand . The lesson here is God is ever kind and ever gracious to us even at the time of his arrest he performed a miracle for a sinner.

2.        CHATTY – To be flippant is to talk too much and dispense information that you shouldn’t dispense, they were trying to decide who will judge Jesus, when he went to Herod  he was mute, he asked him are you the one they prophesied your birth, even when he was with pilate he didn’t say what he shouldn’t say he was wise.

3.       THE STROKES- The Pilate specifically said “punish him” not kill him, but what upset the soldiers was after they gave him some strokes with cane with all their might he stood up because he knew this strokes aren’t enough for the sicknesses, diseases and sin in this world I must accomplish my mission. Scientists say they gave him 40 strokes and all the diseases in this world are all under 39 categories, so that last stroke is for what? I’ll tell you, it’s for any new fresh disease may be like “Corona” he has already taken the strokes for us. They hit him everywhere!! His head, his chest, his back his legs and it signifies every part of his body that was hit you have healing for yours. For by his stripes we are healed.

4.       BARABBAS VS JESUS-  This particular place hurt me so much , I questioned myself “how can they pick Barabbas over Jesus? aside for the fact that scriptures cannot be broken and he had to be slain , other reasons;

·         They felt they can control Barabbas and not Jesus

·         Even in our current day we often pick sin and prefer the things of the world to Christ, doing that we will always pick Barabbas over Jesus.

5.       THE SHARP GUY- That thief on the cross, he was one guy that hit the Jackpot! He said Lord when you get to your kingdom remember me, and Jesus said you and I will be together in paradise, that’s like easy way to get into heaven like cross over service (lol).

The Lesson here is the Lord will always forgive you and if you haven’t accepted him as your Lord and savior you can do so now, by saying a sincere prayer of forgiveness it is genuinely between you and God.

Father I have read and understood that you came and you died for me, please wash my sins with your blood , forgive me, make me new and make me whole again . Amen!

WE WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT this means you only need to believe you are forgiven and saved and you will be.

6.       THE TEAR FROM HEAVEN – Every time I have watched this I have never thought how did God feel through all this, but this time it occurred to me that it must have hurt him so much to see his son, his only son go through that much pain, but they did it for us, so we can have ever lasting life and so we don’t end up in hell! They had to make that sacrifice. A tear came down from heaven (in the movie) followed by an earthquake.

7.       BLOOD AND WATER- Out of a dead man doesn’t come both blood and water only a living man , when Jesus said it is finished and they pierced him after he died, blood and water came out from is body , signifying he lives on

8.       THE TEMPLE REBUILT – I will break down the temple and rebuild in 3 days, he didn’t mean a physical temple he meant his body and Yess!! He did that, he rose up after 3 days not with anybody’s aid or prayers HE DID THAT himself.
