IDENTITY - WHO ARE YOU?

 Who are you? What makes you who you are? Most times when you hear “who are you” maybe it’s in a fight, then you hear DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM, DO YOU KNOW WHO MY FATHER IS. Let’s leave our fathers out of this for now. Do you know who you are??

Do you know You are not the shoes you wear, you’re not the clothes you buy, you’re not the house that you live in, you’re not the car you drive no, no . You’re not even the job you work , nobody can define your worth even better nothing on this earth can define your worth because your identity is found in Christ.

Stay with me let us go through 2 story scenarios

You got your hair done, nails & toes done. WOAH!!! Is that you? Well it was hard to tell because you’re so caked up in all that make-up is like you’re trying to make up for what you’re not, the interesting part is you’re a saint but you’re so confused because you have been rejected by all these men they tell you on the scale of 1-10 you’re a 2 but that is not true if you only knew that in Christ you are loved, secure and accepted you can never be rejected by God who has elected you. YOUR BEAUTY IS A GODLINESS and you don’t have to flaunt it because it’s so obvious. Your identity is found in the God we trust, every other identity will destroy us.

This scenario doesn’t say don’t wear make-up or don’t get your nails done and hair done, but is that what defines you? Your looks?

Scenario 2

You’re stepping out. Your Hair check ☑️, shoes check☑️, you’re looking in the mirror like oohh yes!! And you’re thinking she won’t feel me and they won’t like me if I don’t have the latest Jordan’s and Nikes. You live in the Gym your hair stays faded you have the latest car so people think you have made it. You’re Christian you gave your life but you’re still not satisfied in your savior Christ, you still find identity in your looks and cars. If you looked to God you’ll be so satisfied with who you are.

Your Job doesn’t make you, your current situation doesn’t say who you are, the house you are staying in rented or bought doesn’t define you, and none of these are close to defining who you truly are. Let me help you through a path to self-discovery

First : You are the child of GOD, it is  such a privilege to be a child of the one that made the ground you step on, the one that is so mighty he sits in the heavens and the earth is he’s foot stool ( we don’t even know where the heavens are but he is so mighty the earth is his FOOT stool not FEET stool . he made the skies and the clouds in those shapes that they are . He placed all the stars in the sky and he knows each one by name! He positioned the sun that it will not smite us and the moon also and you are the child of this great God , are you not just blessed. 

SECOND: You are a god and it is scriptural, ha ha! Do you know what that means? Do you know the power you hold. You can bring the dead to life. You can decree something into existence and it will come to pass. Such power given to you and you think that job defines you??

On a final note You are the light of this world  you have been called to represent . You’re like this city that is set on a hill that cannot be hidden because my guy! You’re too bright, you’re the salt of this earth meaning you add flavor to this  world .
So Next time if someone as you NO! WHO ARE YOU ?! YOU WILL SAY I AM A god .

Lord I am sorry for all my sins, I accept you as my Lord and savior, please forgive me. Wash me clean and make me your child I receive Christ as my lord and personal savior In Jesus name
